MY BELIEFS:
I believe we need to fight for the rights of people who are unfairly treated.
I believe every individual should have an equal opportunity to make the most of their lives and talents – regardless of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, income level, or any other factor.
Specific issues I’m most passionate about include:
- Discrimination: Ending unfair treatment against certain individuals or social groups.
- Making our schools and society safe from gun violence.
- Changing the criminal justice system so that it operates fairly and equitably – stopping racial discrimination and ensuring humane, constitutional standards for prisoners.
- Providing a safe haven for immigrants seeking refuge, granting citizenship to children of immigrants, and stopping the separation of children from their parents at the border.
