Children’s Play Equipment Website Design Project
Client: Rainbow Play Systems of Northeast Wisconsin
Project Summary
Rainbow Play Systems of Northeast WI is a family-owned small business dedicated to providing high-quality children’s play equipment with a personal touch.
The owners wanted to streamline the booking process for Open Play Times and Birthday Parties by allowing customers to schedule them online. They also wanted to begin selling their products online – for local pickups and deliveries and also for shipping to their out-of-town customers.
This project included updating their branding (color palette and fonts), redesigning their website, and adding eCommerce functionality that allows for online orders and bookings.

Website Design
As part of the website redesign, I updated the branding (color palette and fonts) to a more fun and modern look. Since it had been quite a few years since the last website design was created, I also focused on updating the page width, page layouts, and mobile responsiveness of the website.
A WooCommerce shopping cart was added to the website to display and sell their products. And we also added the ability for customers to book Open Play sessions and Birthday Parties online.

I enjoyed working with the new owners of Rainbow Play Systems of Northeast WI on their website redesign. Beyond the updated design, we added a shopping cart for their products and online booking for Open Play times and birthday parties, so the website could truly support how their business runs day to day.
I created Rainbow’s very first website back in 2010, and I’ve had the pleasure of continuing to work with them ever since, even through a change in ownership. It’s pretty special to have supported this business’s online presence for over 15 years, working with both the original owners and the new owners who took over in 2024.
