Moms Unhinged needed a brand identity that captured their energy: bold, funny, and unapologetically themselves. The new branding I created for them includes:

• a new logo that reflects their bold, comedic personality – with a nod to comedy/night clubs
• additional logo variations they can use for multiple purposes (social media profiles, merchandise, etc.)
• a color palette that’s eye-catching and fun
• fonts that balance personality with readability across the website

Comedy Show Website Design and Development

This was a feature-rich website build designed around one main goal: making it as easy as possible for fans to discover upcoming shows near them and buy tickets. With shows happening across multiple states, a growing roster of comedians, and a new podcast, the website needed to handle a lot of information without ever feeling overwhelming to navigate.

Features of the Moms Unhinged comedy show website design include:

• Upcoming shows displayed three ways:
  1. a grid view with show details and performer info — plus a search feature and filtering by comedian and by state
  2. a calendar view
  3. a list view for quick browsing
• Individual show pages with comedian and venue information and direct ticket purchasing
• A Podcast page with a full episode feed
• Multiple opportunities to easily subscribe to the podcast, including a popout available on each page
• Individual podcast episode pages with embedded audio and video players, episode overview and transcript, guest bios, and upcoming shows featuring that comedian
• A Videos page with an embedded video player and thumbnail carousel navigation
• Three contact forms: one for general inquiries, one for hiring Moms Unhinged to perform at an event, and one for comedians submitting requests to perform on the show
• Newsletter opt-in integrated with Kit

This was one of the most fun and feature-packed projects I’ve worked on. Moms Unhinged came to me with a big vision: a website that could handle selling out shows across the country, showcase their growing roster of comedians, and support their podcast, all in one place. Creating a brand identity that matched their bold, unapologetic personality was a great starting point. And from there, I got to dig into building out all the features and functionality that would bring their vision to life.

The biggest challenge with a project like this is that the more complex a website is on the backend, the harder you have to work to make sure it doesn’t feel complex to the person using it. With this many features — shows, tickets, comedians, a podcast, videos — it would be easy for a site like this to feel overwhelming. So a big focus throughout the build was making sure that no matter where someone lands on the site, they can figure out where they are, what to do next, and how to get there… without even thinking about it. And with a brand as bold and fun as Moms Unhinged, blending into the background was never an option.
