Client: A Stay in the Country Pet Lodge
Project Summary
A Stay in the Country Pet Lodge provides dog boarding, daycare, training, and grooming services in Richmond, Virginia and surrounding areas. They contacted me because their website wasn’t keeping up with how their business currently runs. Notes from Kelly:
I loved working on this project because it gave me the chance to work with Harriet again, after building her dog breeder website design for Shadewood Farm. This time we worked on a website redesign for her dog boarding and daycare business. It means a lot when a client trusts me to work with them again, and this project was no exception.
I enjoyed working on the new web design – from the modified color scheme to the cute dog-related design elements. But the real heart of this project was digging into her customer journey from booking a stay to becoming a new client to finding answers to their questions, and then building a website that supports each step.
Replacing her paper-based new client forms and creating a dedicated “New Clients” page that walks pet parents through exactly what to expect and how to get started are both great examples of how a pet business website design isn’t just about how it looks… it’s about making the entire customer journey easier, from that very first visit to the site.
What my Client Says:
She clearly outlined each step, communicated well throughout, and struck a great balance between technical functionality and beautiful design. I felt completely comfortable trusting her expertise, and the final result exceeded my expectations.
What I appreciate most is knowing I can rely on her for ongoing updates and improvements. She consistently does great work and keeps me informed of anything that needs attention. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, dependable, and talented web designer.”
